Career.
In 1988 Kurt Cobain was able to make some rock ambitions happen. He finally settled on Nirvana for the band name. They released their first single, "love buzz" through a record label called Sub Pop Records. Nirvana's popularity began to grow in the Seattle music area. They released their debute album, "Bleach" in 1989. While it failed to make much of a splash, the album showed signs of Cobain's emerging talents as a song writer, especially the ballad, "About a girl." Their signature sound was mixtures of heavy metal and punk. While the band was struggling in 1990, Cobain met a women named Courtney Love, they met at a night club. While they were both interested in each other, their relationship didn't take off until much later. That same year Cobain got a chance to meet some of his rock heroes. Despite their downfalls, Nirvana made it to a major label in 1991. They released a single called "Never mind", which made what some people call a music revolution. Their music was labeled as "grunge" for its murky and rough qualities.
